November 23rd, 2008 pm
It is 10:04 pm. I just got to Rick's for one more night of rest. Tomorrow night I will begin staying at a friend of the family's house. She is going out of town for the week, and was kind enough to offer her entire house for me to use. It will be very nice. Mary continued to have a good day. She was herself for most of the day. Her sense of humor was definitely in tact, as was her poking fun at my being bossy, and annoying. (I know she's just kidding) My family got the biggest kick out of Mary today. She was just fun to be around, and that was the beauty of it. It was the Mary that we all know and love. Smiling, joking and just putting a smile on your face. I know you all will see it soon enough when we can get her home. I think we are planning a Thanksgiving dinner here at the rehab center with some of Mary's family. This will without a doubt, be a day that our family will have something to be truly thankful for. Thankful that we have our Mary here with us, and thankful that we have so many great friends that truly care. I received a letter from a very good friend that said that her family was going to say a special prayer for Mary at their Thanksgiving table. To think of others when you're with your own family is a special thing. Thanks Sharon, that meant a lot. Thanks to all of you. Talk to you tomorrow. Pray for a good day.

Reading that just put a smile on my face! I can just see everyone sitting around having a good day and laughing with Mary. I am so happy for the whole family. I will also be saying a special "thank you" prayer at my thanksgiving table. God has definitley answered our prayers and I am so thankful for that. Hearing that Mary is cracking jokes at your expense Scott just proves to me that she has her sense of humor back!! I will continue to pray for good days and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving together. I love you guys. Your such an amazing family.
Take care,
Melodie Brigman
Scott,
I think Mary’s idea of your being on the track team at Central is Brilliant!!! Talk about a fundraiser! People would come for thousands of miles; ESPN would cover it, ABC Wide world of sports too! They would all come to see that first Hamstring pop as you crashed the first hurdle. That Hamstring would not stop retracting until it entered your chest cavity. Better yet how about Pole Vaulting? If you are going to hurt yourself let’s do it with flair and style.
On a more serious note I am glad all is progressing well, I too am praying for you and Mary.

I am so glad to hear about Mary's progress. She is amazing in her recovery. The power of prayer and love is very strong around her. Her sense of humor must help all of you every day. Let her know she is missed here at home. We will try to see her soon. Terry Anderson
