November 20th, 2008 am
It is 8:22 am. I slept a little bit longer than I normally do this morning. I must have needed it. This being late on my blog thing is starting to become a habit. I will try to do better. I received no phone calls last night, so I assume all went OK with Mary. I am getting ready to leave now, so I will see how she is doing in her new routine. Sometimes yesterday it seemed like I would get her out of her concentration. One of the other side effects of her condition is being easily distracted. I am going to try to be a fly on the wall today, and just observe. I'm going to keep it short this morning, as I really have no new news to report. I will let you all know how the day goes. Please pray for a good day for Mary. Thanks.

Scott,
I knew she would be treated as a stroke incident. Like I said earilier then mothers right side was not working either She could not see all the way till the end of the plate or read either. They gave her speech theraphy. which came back quicker. But give her excerises for her mouth to form. Her mind was very sharp with phone numbers and knowing ppl. There a way they will teach her how to eat, dress and pull herself up from her bed in the right manner. She will get OT and PT everyday. It will take several weeks to get those muscles more activity. It just makes them so weak after these sessions. But that normal. Cause there trying to gain back there motor skills. Hang in there be encouragement to her It will all come in time. Sometimes she may say while she in there that shes more weaker and not getting better. But in fact she gaining a little something more each day.

Just a quick note from Morey. Glad to hear both of you seem to be doing well. Keep getting all the sleep you can while those good folks at the rehab center are keeping and eye on Mary. Ask the staff every question that comes to mind or anything they do that you don't see what they're up to as they can help you understand what has happened to her behavior and abilities. They are the experts and should provide you with really good info on her condition. I'm really excited for you both as there seems to be such a good prognosis today when it seemed so bleak just 2 weeks ago. Hang in there and we are all here for you when you need us.
