November 21st, 2008 am

It is 7:53 am. Once again, I slept later than I wanted to. This futon is getting pretty comfortable I guess. I will again keep this short so I can hurry to get ready, and spend the day with Mary. I'm sure right now Mary either taking her shower, or scheming to get out of it. This is the time of day that OT helps her get herself ready for the day. I do not know what her schedule is like to day, they didn't get one to me before I left. Typically, she will have 3 to 4 hours a day of therapy, and some rest time spaced in between. I am praying for another good day today. I think she can do it again. Keep Mary in your prayers today. Thanks.

Scott.

Its 3 to 4 hrs a day and they have to be willing to get up and try. Even though my mother did not feel like a shower or OT or PT. They told she had to go do it that what Rehab is all about. It was hard at times to see my trying and just could not get it that day. But I was there like you are there to strive and cheer her on. Keep doing that Scott. At the time she says she so weak just dont feel like it remember to tell her just a little more each day Mary, and you will be out of here. When she does go home in 2-3 weeks or so. They will send her home to physical out-patient therapy of her choice in Quincy or where your insurance company pays for. You have been in my familys prayers everyday. The best thing out of this was I knew I had my mother still and I realized even more now how precious she is to me. I grasped each day with her now and thankgod she still here.

Scott and family,
It sounds as if Mary is making great strides in her rehab. We know it is hard for her and we know how hard it is to watch her--just keep in mind that it is for her best interest. Mary is lucky to have you Scott. You are so supportive and such a loving husband and that it is what this will take in the weeks ahead. Know that we are thinking of you and, as always, let us know if you need anything. We are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers. We love you all.
