Hi everyone, this is Regan writing tonight. Unfortunately some desperate selfish idiot at the hospital stole my dad's laptop while he was sitting with my mom tonight. We're very pissed off, obviously, and the police are on it, but we are still working on getting this blog posted so that everybody doesn't have to wonder. Overall mom had a pretty good day. She's still talking a lot, and she's still a bit confused about some things. We think that he short term memory is effected the most right now. Because she still knows who everyone is, and she can remember a lot of things that happened a while ago. She is pretty much milking this whole thing for all its worth, as far as it comes with her sister Julie. Today she lifted her foot way up in the air right in Julie's face, and said "kiss 'em". So we know that she still has her sense of humor, thats so mom for you right there! Dad wanted me to mention that he saw her do something today that none of us have ever seen her do yet. On command, she lifted her left leg, and her left arm. Not with a whole lot of strength, but she did it, and its really really good, because now we know that she is gaining that movement back in her left side. Tomorrow she is having a swallowing test, if she can get that good, then she will get to finally take a drink of water like she has been asking for. Hopefully it will life her spirits a little. --As far as the blogs go, dad is going to try to go find another computer tomorrow in the hospital so that he can keep the updates coming. If he can't find one, it may be me writing them for a while. I'm not sure if I can live up to the scholar writing of my father, but I sure will do my best. As long as everyone is still keeping the faith, and still praying for her and out family, we're all happy campers, because that means that we still have my mom here with us, and we need to remember to thank God for everything that he has done so far. Because without him, we wouldn't of even made it this far. For everyone that has someone you love, tell them, I know its always nice to hear, but make yourself that someone to tell those special people in your life how much you care. Keep up the comments, we love to read them! Thank you! -Regan

That makes me smile that she has her sense of humor because she is a funny, funny girl! I am praying for good news tomorrow for her swallowing test so she can begin to drink and eat again. I will also be praying that the poor sucker that stole your dads laptop is caught. Give your mom a big hug for all of us that are rooting for her here back home!! My brother has a head injury and suffers from short term memory loss and the fact that she is moving so quickly in her recovery is remarkable and by the grace of God. Take care Berrymans, Mary is lucky to have you all. We are praying so hard for you all and hopefully God answers our prayers for a speedy recovery.
Regan...great job writing tonight! I'm sorry to hear the news about your dad's laptop...it is really sad that someone would do such an aweful thing. We read the blogs daily, your dad has done a great job keeping everyone informed. He has touched more hearts than he will ever know. I am so happy to hear the news about Mary today. I love what you wrote about her comment on her feet...that sounds like the Mary I know. She always makes me laugh. Prayers are being answered everyday...she is definitely getting stronger and stronger. I watched survivor this week and all I could think about was my "survivor buddy" the entire time. Please give your mom a hug from me and all the cheerleaders as well...they are all praying for her and your family. We will continue to pray for Mary's recovery and for your family.

Thank you for the update. It sounds like you mom is doing well- I know that it will take a while but she is obviously on the right track. It's really great that she is getting her sense of humor back. Alan has talked to your dad and is sending him a laptop computer to use. He is sending it down with Mory and Rita if they are able to swing by and get it. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to reading more wonderful updates on your mom's progress. We love you guys. If you need anything just let us know.

Regan, you are hilarious! I know where you get it from! It'll be fun reading your blogs. It's like reading a good book, can't wait to see what happens next! I hope school is going well for you. If you need any water bottles tossed out just let cousin Anne know:)
Take care! Give your mommy a hug for me:) Love, Anne
Scott,
So sorry to hear about your laptop..Hope they catch whoever did it! I continue to pray for Mary and for you. I can't imaging how difficult it must be for you when Mary asks for your help and you have to tell her no! However, she will realize some day that you were doing this for her own good. It's a good thing she has that fight in her though! This will help her recover faster I'm sure. She will be ready to get in rehab and show them what she can do!! Take care and hang in there. If there is anything I can do for you back here in Quincy please let me know! I'll keep the prayers coming!

I'm so glad to see the good news, and Mary's comment to her sister made me laugh.
I hope the person who stole your laptop realizes what they've done and has a change of heart....either that, or they are caught and hung by their toes!
Regan and Scott, great job to both of you on the blog. It's great to be able to see the updates.
We're still praying daily for Mary, and God certainly is working miracles.
Blessings!
