Hi everyone! I just needed to give you a little update of Mary's ongoings. As most of you know her bone flap replacement surgery was scheduled for this Monday. I got a call from her doctor in St. Louis on Thursday, and they have decided to postpone her surgery. It is because her platelet count in her blood was a little lower than what the preferred count should be. They want it to be 147, she was at 143. We had an appointment with a hematologist yesterday to find out why it is a little low. He said she may just run a little lower naturally. He was going to call Dr. Chicoine at Barnes, and tell him that he thinks she is fine for surgery. I forgot to tell you, platelets in the blood are what makes it clot. (if you didn't know) (I didn't!) Anyway, they are going to reschedule the surgery, and I will let you know when it will happen. Please keep Mary in your prayers. Thanks.
