December 3, 2008 am

Good morning, it's 8:41 am. Sorry I didn't get a chance to get the blog on last night. I was able to speak to Mary a few times yesterday, and it seemed like she had a productive day as far as rehab goes. She said she worked hard. I can tell in her voice that she wants to be home very badly. She is working hard to make sure that happens soon. She did give me some news that I was very happy about. She was one of 6 people in the facility to be asked to go on an outing today. And the exciting part for Mary... there going to Target! I am so happy for her to be able to go out and do something normal that she does in everyday life. Mary's parents are visiting her today, so they are going to go along with her. She already left me a message early this morning saying she couldn't find her debit card, and did I know where it was. She is ready to go shopping! The other exciting part for me, is that she is actually progressed far enough to be included in on the outing. I am itching to get back with her tomorrow and see how she is doing. I will write again soon to keep all informed. Please keep praying for Mary. Thanks, and have a great day.

I'm so excited for all of you, especially Mary since I'm sure she is feeling very cooped up by now.

Thanks for blogging this morning, I'm keeping you all in my prayers!

Sorry it has been a couple of days since we have sent a message to you all. It was great to hear that you all had a great Thanksgiving--and yes, Scott, you are right. The most important thing to be thankful for this year is that Mary was there to celebrate with you. It sounds like she is doing wonderfully and we know that she will continue to do so because we know that she is a hard worker and her sole motivation is to be at home with her family. I certainly hope she can be home for Christmas. That would the greatest Christmas present for everyone.
You are all very lucky to have each other--love can do great and powerful things. Mary, we will be praying for you to continue to do well with your therapy. Scott, Alex and Regan, we pray for your continued strength and support through all of this. As always, if any of you need anything, please let us know. We love you all very much.
